Summary

We were called out for a system that stopped moving air just as summer heat ramped up. After a quick inspection, we found the blower motor had failed, likely from a heavy debris buildup on the blower wheel. The job called for more than a simple swap—addressing the root cause was just as important as the repair.

The Work

Diagnosed the failed blower motor and pinpointed debris buildup as the underlying issue
Removed and replaced the original 1/3 HP blower motor for a 2004 Trane unit
Fully cleaned the blower assembly and blower wheel, removing all visible buildup
Reassembled and reinstalled the blower, testing for smooth operation

The Outcome

With the new motor and a completely cleaned blower assembly, the system moved air freely again. By clearing out the buildup, we helped prevent another breakdown and improved air quality for the space.
